Windows across Hassocks and its six villages
Hurstpierpoint, Keymer, Ditchling, Clayton, Sayers Common and Albourne
Older villages surround Hassocks on every side. Two of them, Clayton and Ditchling, are inside the South Downs National Park; the rest are in Mid Sussex.
Hassocks itself was formed as a parish in its own right in 2000, when the old parishes of Clayton and Keymer were combined, so Keymer and Clayton are as much part of it as the streets by the station.
